Degrees, certificates, and honors

Diploma and certificate framing in Fort Worth

You bring in a diploma, and we'll help you hang it so it lasts. Marty & Pat’s has been on Camp Bowie for 40 years now, and diploma framing is a regular part of the week. We'll cut a mat that fits the diploma, use boards that won't yellow it, and pick a frame that works in the room. You don't have to use a school-store kit if you'd rather have it done here.

Some diplomas just need a quiet double mat and a simple frame. Others come with a stole, honor cords, or a tassel you want to keep. That becomes a shadowbox. The diploma stays readable in the center, and the cloth gets its own space. We can pick up the school colors in a thin mat without shouting them across the wall.

Fort Worth is a college town as much as an art town. Families come in from the Cultural District, TCU’s side of the city, West 7th, Ridglea, Tanglewood, and Arlington Heights after graduation. We've been doing this work since 1986. Walk in on a weekday, bring the diploma, and we'll look at it with you at the counter. We have a lot of repeat clients. They're like family.

We also frame certificates, licenses, military and service documents, and award letters. If a medal or a small object should go in with the diploma, tell us when you come in. We'll talk through conservation framing and matting with you, and pick boards, a mat, and glass that protect the diploma. UV-filter glass is worth talking about if it will face a bright window.

The local art gallery on The Bricks helps with scale. A nursing degree, a law certificate, or a high-school diploma shouldn't disappear in an oversized frame or fight a moulding that belongs on a Western oil. The staff will walk the sample wall with you the same way they do for custom picture framing.

If you have a jersey from the same years, a photograph, or a cap, those can hang as a set or share a box when the layout allows. See jersey framing if athletics are part of the same wall. Needlework and scarves are different textiles. We frame those too, and you can read about them on their own pages.

Visit 5025 Camp Bowie Boulevard, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or call (817) 738-7328. Leave the diploma in the folder or envelope if that's easier. Bring any stole, cords, or medal you want in the frame. Saturday and Sunday the shop is closed.

Questions we hear

Can a stole, tassel, or honor cords go in the same frame as the diploma?

Yes. We'll use a shadowbox with enough depth. A lot of graduation frames keep the diploma in a window and give the stole and cords their own space. Bring those pieces so we can plan the layout together.

Do you frame certificates and licenses, or just university diplomas?

Yes. Degrees, certificates, licenses, and other honors. We'll choose a mat and frame for the diploma and the room, not a single school-store style.

Should I take the diploma out of the school’s folder before I come in?

You don't have to. Leave it in the folder or envelope if that feels safer. We'll handle it at the counter. We're open Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
