Framing on the Bricks

Custom picture framing in Fort Worth

Marty & Pat’s Frame Shoppe has been locally owned on Camp Bowie since 1986, offering full-service custom picture framing in Fort Worth’s Bricks culture hub. Bring in a painting, a photograph, or a piece that needs more than a ready-made frame, and the staff will walk the moulding wall with you until the finish, color, and scale feel right.

Quality framing matters as much as the artwork itself. The shop frames paintings, photos, needlework, scarves with careful hand pinning, and other art pieces. Canvas stretching and canvas float frames are available, along with residential on-site consultation when a piece is too large or too fragile to carry in.

A visit here is not a catalog counter. You stand in a working gallery on The Bricks — frame samples on the wall, finished pieces leaning nearby — and talk through the piece in the room. That is why families from the Cultural District, West 7th, Ridglea, Tanglewood, and Arlington Heights still drive to 5025 Camp Bowie Boulevard instead of ordering a standard size online.

Framers certified through the Professional Picture Framers Association work with conservation-quality materials and unusual techniques when a piece calls for them. The same bench handles everyday photos and one-of-a-kind objects: sports jerseys, shadowboxes, diplomas and certificates, flags, and keepsakes that need depth.

If the work is a textile, ask for the needlework specialist or see needlework and cross-stitch framing and scarf framing. Paintings that arrived rolled belong on the canvas stretching page. Pieces that should last decades start with conservation framing and matting.

National clients can arrange crating and shipping. Corporate jobs in the area can include on-site consultation. Most Fort Worth work is simpler: come during the week, bring the piece, and leave with a plan. The shop does not publish a price list because moulding, glass, and size change the quote — you see the materials before anything is cut.

Call (817) 738-7328 or stop by Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday the shop is closed. Bring the piece in and you will leave with a plan and a price.

Questions we hear

Do I need an appointment for custom framing?

Weekday walk-ins are the usual path. Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., you can bring the piece to 5025 Camp Bowie Boulevard and talk it through on the floor. Call (817) 738-7328 if the work is oversized or you want to confirm someone is at the bench.

What can Marty & Pat’s frame besides paintings and photos?

The shop is a full custom frame shop: needlework, scarves, canvas stretching, jerseys and sports memorabilia, shadowboxes, diplomas, certificates, flags, and other objects that need more than a ready-made frame.

How long does custom framing take in Fort Worth?

It depends on the piece, the materials, and the shop’s queue. The staff will give you a timeline when they see the work. They take the time to do it right rather than promising a same-day finish.
